Hi, I'm Michal

I'm the one-person team behind Aurilix. I build and operate the product myself, from the podcast ingestion and analysis pipeline to billing, support, and the interface you use every day.

I graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Wroclaw University in 2014 and spent my career as a programmer and systems administrator. I've been programming since I was 12 and running servers since I was 14, always with my trusty 1989 IBM Model M keyboard. The highlight of my career was becoming a member of the OpenBSD project. In April 2018, I left and decided to start my own business.

Aurilix came from a practical problem: there are too many podcast episodes and too little attention. Some episodes contain one idea, guest, quote, or book mention that is worth acting on, but finding those episodes manually does not scale.

The product monitors new podcast episodes, scores them against your interests, and sends concise summaries when something is worth your time. My goal is to make podcast listening more selective, deliberate, and useful.

I live in Krakow, Poland.

Aurilix is bootstrapped and customer-funded. Thank you to the customers who make it possible for me to keep building it without outside funding.
