About Aurilix

Aurilix is a bootstrapped project led by Michał Mazurek, based in Kraków, Poland.

Michał Mazurek at his desk

Michał graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Wroclaw University in 2014 and spent his career as a programmer and systems administrator. He has been programming since he was 12 and running servers since he was 14, always with his trusty 1989 IBM Model M keyboard. The highlight of his career was becoming a member of the OpenBSD project. In April 2018, he left his job and started his own business.

Aurilix came from a practical problem: there are too many podcast episodes and too little attention. Some episodes contain one idea, guest, quote, or book mention that is worth acting on, but finding those episodes manually does not scale.

The product monitors new podcast episodes, scores them against your interests, and sends concise summaries when something is worth your time. The goal is to make podcast listening more selective, deliberate, and useful.

Aurilix is bootstrapped and customer-funded. Thank you to the customers who make it possible to keep building it without outside funding.
